When was the last time you thought about your feet?  We spend hours taking care of our face, hair, hands but when was the last time you took care of your feet? I mean our feet have such a hard job. They carry us through our whole life, think about it. Isn't that amazing? So why not give your feet some pampering and the care they need?! I know so many women that are ashamed of their feet and refuse to wear sandals or flip flops. I will show you my little feet-pampering-routine and a great way to reduce swollen feet and calm down after a stressful day. Let's show our feet ladies

Calming Lavender Footbath

I kick off my feet-pamper-routine with a calming foot bath.  A foot bath is also a wonderful way to calm down after a stressful day. Especially the lavender essential oil and rosemary have a soothing effect. It reduces swollen feet and because of the buttermilk and coconut oil is really nurturing for your feet. I let my feet soak for 15-30 minutes.

Remove dead skin with a Pumice Stone

After letting my feet soak for 15-30 minutes, I use a pumice stone to remove dead skin from my heels. I would really recommend doing a footbath first to soften the skin on your feet. And like Howard taught us (yep I'm a total Big Bang geek 🙂 anyone else remembers the episode?) gently rub the stone with the grain.

As an addition to using the pumice stone, I like using a scrub. I'm using 'The Ritual of Hammam Sea Salt Hot Scrub' by Rituals. It's based on pure sea salt, ginger, and eucalyptus. But if you don't wanna buy a scrub, you can always make your own.  For example, you can use salt, coconut oil, and lavender essential oil for your scrub.

Moisturize your feet

To give my feet the nurturing the need, I use coconut oil as my moisturizer. I like to moisturize my feet over night to really let oil sink in. So what I do is pretty easy. I use the coconut oil before I go to sleep, put on my fluffy socks and when I wake up the next morning I will have soft and beautiful feet.

Make them pretty

This step is totally optional but I like to do a little pedicure the morning after. In summer I use white nail polish just to keep it fresh and neutral. I'm using the Milky Bay IcoNails by catrice, which is one of the many items you can win in my current Giveaway. Haven't checked it out yet? Just click here.

So now it's up to you. Let's get out these sandals and flip flops ladies and show off our beautiful feet.
