sometimes it’s pretty hard to go to school or work and also do youtube, cause youtube can be really time-consuming when you are serious about it.
so I thought I would share my tips and tricks with you guys.
TIP #1: Organization
I recommend getting a planner to organize your youtube channel or you blog. I always plan ahead and set dates when I wanna film certain videos and when I wanna upload my videos. that way I know exactly when I need to do certain things.
TIP #2: Pre-film
when I have some time off I always try to pre-film a lot of videos, so I have videos to upload when school or work gets really busy.
TIP #3: Script
For each video, I’m writing a checklist and a script, where I write down what I will need for my video, where I wanna film, the structure of the video, shots that I wanna include, what I wanna put in the montage in the beginning of my video…
I also think about how I will film, with a tripod, or hand-held shots and if I need help with filming. you might think now ‘omg but that’s so much more work’. in the beginning, it is, but when you get used to writing a script and see what works and what doesn’t. you will see how much faster the actual filming progress will be.
TIP #4: create a working space/ youtube background
it set up a working space, where I have set up all of my filming equipment, which makes it so much easier to film right way, without think of where to film or to set up the equipment for every single video. so you save a lot of time.
TIP #5: Do it cause you like it
I think the most important part to balance out school/work and youtube is to do youtube because you love it. If you are just doing it for money or fame or whatever it won’t work out.
I hope you’ll find these tips helpful, if you have more questions please leave a comment down below.
