like you probably saw on my blog I changed up the style of my site to a little bit more festive theme because I’m already in a festive mood that’s way I thought I would show you my go-to wintertime makeup. In the wintertime I like wearing warm and festive colors and a deep red lip.
Soooo lets get started ⛄️❄️🎅🎁🎄💝
I start with applying my foundation with a beautyblender. I’m using the ‘Fit me! Liquid Foundation‘ by Maybelline (125 nude beige). I usually apply my makeup with a brush, mbut I currently got this beautyblender and I’m really loving it. It’s so quick and blends perfectly. After that I apply some concealer under my eyes and blend it in.
To me wintertime is all about warm colors that’s why I’m using the ‘oh so special’ eyeshadow palette by sleek. I talked about it in one of my previous posts so if you wanna check it out click here. I’m really in love with these wounded full colors and for this look I will use ‘bow’, ‘organza’, ‘celebrate’ and ‘noir’.
I start with ‘bow’ and put it all over my lid. It’s a very light creamy color and the perfect base for this look. I also use it as a highlighter under my brows. Next I use the color ‘organza’. I don’t really now how to describe it best but to me it’s like a rose gold. I put it all over my lid, except of the inner corner of my eye. With the shimmery colors of sleek less is more. They are so highly pigmented that you only need a little.
For the crease I’m using ‘celebrate’ it’s a really warm and dark brown with a little bit of shimmer. I’m using a really fluffy brush to blend it in nicely. I’m using the color noir and an angled brush to use it as an eyeliner. To me this is the easiest way to line my eyes. I’m using ‘celebrate’ to line the lower lash line.
For my lashes I’m using the ‘colossal go extreme volum’express‘ by Maybelline (waterproof). I’ve got pretty long lashes so I don’t really need a mascara to lengthen them. This mascara really holds the curl and I really love the deep black color. I just think Maybelline makes the best drugstore mascaras.
After doing my eyes I’m using a powder to set every in place. I’m using the ‘even & nude compact powder’ by just cosmetics (020 ivory). It really evens out my skin and is really light. As blush I’m using the ‘defining blush‘ by catrice ( think pink) which is my go to blush for two years now.
And now let’s do the lips. This is my favorite part of doing my makeup when everything comes together and the lips are definitely the highlight of the look.
I’m using the ‘color sensational creamy mat’ by Maybelline in the shade 970 Daring Ruby. Red lips are just so classy and perfect for the festive season.
I’ve got curly hair and I usually just pin one strand of hair back. To me curls are perfect for this look.
I hope you are all having a wonderful day and don’t forget to send me your pictures by using the #christmastimewithLaura
See you xoxo
