I get most of my work done in the morning and I'm so not a morning person. So your probably asking yourself 'So how to you get all your work done in the morning?'. Well, I created some habits that help me to achieve a productive morning. In this post, I wanna share my productive morning routine with you guys and help you to create your own productive habits to be motivated and energized for work. So here it comes, my productive morning routine. 


I love working out right after I get up. That way it's out of the way and it gives me the much-needed energy for the day. I'm definitely not a morning person and it's really hard for me to really wake up and start the day. Working out really gives me a kickstart. You don't have to go to the gym if that's inconvenient for you, take a walk, do some yoga or some exercises at home.

Take a shower

After my workout, I like to freshen up and jump under the shower do my skin and haircare and get ready for the day.

Get dressed in 'working cloth'

Since I work from home I don't really have to get dressed for work, my laptop clearly won't care if I work in my PJ's or in a business outfit. But it does make a difference, at least to me. 'Getting ready for work' helps me separate work from leisure time and it actually makes me feel more productive, giving me the feeling of 'going to work'. I don't mean that you have to put on a full face of makeup, you obviously can if you like to. What I mean by that is, put on a nice pair of jeans and a cute top or a cute little dress to imitate the 'going to work'-feeling.

Now its's time for breakfast. I usually go for a big glass of water with some lemon, a coffee and soy yogurt with fruit and oats. NO Social Media

I try not to go on social media in the morning. You can get so hung up just scrolling through Instagram & Co. So I avoid getting on social media till after breakfast and it's actually really refreshing to not care about likes and comments and all that jazz first thing in the morning (don't really care about it in general, but you know what you mean). I put social media on my to-do list and post, schedule and get inspiration in my working time, cause it's part of my job.


Get over TO-Do-List

My productive morning routine actually starts the night before when I write my to-do list. I love to-do lists. They help me stay organized and stay focused with my workload. When I write my to-do list I categorize my points into relevance (high, medium, low) and highlight them with different colors. After breakfast, I go over my to-do list and check what I have to do that day.

Start Working

And now it's time to work. I take my to-do list and tick off everything on the list one-by-one and try to stay focused and concentrated. I try not to get distracted in my working time and stick to my list.
